Angie's music is described as original and mysterious with haunting, soulful vocals. She is creating a fresh sound all her own with genuine lyrics that take you places and stir emotions. With a young yet rich life full of love and loss Angie brings true music to the mind and heart. Her songwriting and performing talent have earned the title of Best Female Pop Artist of the Year at the 2004 LA Music Awards. Her influences are as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Sinead O'Connor, The Pretenders, Patty Griffin and many more. Songs written and performed by Angie have been used in both film and network television. Since she finished her first demo recordings her single 'Drive' won Best Independent Music Video of the Year at the 2004 LA Music Awards, 'Alright' was featured on ABC TV's '8 Simple Rules', and FOX's dvd release of Joan of Arcadia among other film and tv spots. She has recently opened shows for Shawn Mullins and Hoobastank.

A Michigan native Mattson now lives in LA. She has been performing as a singer, dancer and actress in the theatre since she was eight years old. As a teenager Angie toured Michigan with a musical theatre group and her love of music and the traveling lifestyle continued when she bought a baby blue school bus and followed music festivals and bands around the Midwest selling art and beer. Soon after she moved to Tokyo and worked in the fashion business. Searching for more adventure she then took to life sailing in the Caribbean. With her she brought an old guitar and it was during that time she wrote many of her songs. After a year at sea in the West Indies, it was finally time to pack up, get a job and pursue her career in music. Angie is currently writing, recording and playing at acoustic venues.
